BowTech moves manufacturing facilities
Creswell, OR (May 24, 2001) — BowTech announced that
over the Memorial Day weekend, our manufacturing facilities will be moving from
Bossier City, Louisiana to a new location in Oregon.
In addition to the obvious benefits of consolidating our
corporate and production facilities, there are several other sound reasons for
this move. Requests for high quality, high performance BowTech bows have grown
so fast that we have been stretched to meet the demand. This move is a major
step for BowTech to satisfy that demand.
BowTech’s president, Marvin Ball stated "This move is
the logical next step in support of our phenomenal business growth. Within the
next few weeks we will be much more responsive to dealer orders. And the move
will make it possible for all of us – BowTech and our dealer partners – to
sell and deliver twice as many bows during the pivotal hunting season."
The new facility will enable us to accommodate our
extraordinary growth. However, it’s our people that will make the real
difference. Many of our existing bow builders and other employees will be making
the move to Oregon. Our co-founder, Vice President and bow designer Kevin
Strother, will be able to focus his energies on research and development
assuring that BowTech stays on top of technology.
Joining BowTech as Production Manager is Tim Davies. Tim brings exceptional
skills and experience to BowTech having been involved in all phases of
production management both in the private and corporate sectors. His experience
includes administration of quality assurance systems, human resources,
supervision and personnel training, inventory control, budgeting, vendor
selection…and that’s just the "short" list. Tim possesses
management, people and problem solving skills that will continually improve how
BowTech does business. We are honored to have him on board.
