BowTech gets ready for busy hunting season

BowTech CEO John Strasheim

BowTech CEO John Strasheim forecasts that over 22,000 bows will be sold in 2002. And, he predicts at least doubling that number in 2003.
Creswell, OR. (May 28, 2002) — At the end of the first quarter of this year, BowTech had backorders for 2,600 bows. By partnering with additional vendors, the company reduced that number to less than 1,000 by late-May.

"We expect to be current with our shipments by mid-June and remain that way through the hunting season," said John Strasheim, chief executive officer. "Because demand for our bows is so high, we've postponed the expansion of our production facilities until later in the year. That allows us to keep all of our energy focused on manufacturing and shipping."

The company predicts that 2002 will continue its consistent record-breaking performance. BowTech has already sold as many bows (just over 9,000) in the first four months of 2002 as it sold in 2001. Strasheim forecasts that over 22,000 bows will be sold in 2002. And, he predicts at least doubling that number in 2003.

"The quality of our products and their acceptance in the marketplace has driven our growth and contributed to our ability to increase the number of dealers who are stocking our equipment," Strasheim noted. "Since 2000, we've substantially increased our dealers, and now have some 500 stores selling our bows."

BowTech's bows are considered the fastest on the market, with speeds of up to 350 feet per second. The company holds patents on the world's fastest single, double and triple-cam bows, and has additional patents pending. A tester certifies every bow's arrow speed before it is shipped.

"We're sure customers will be blown away by some of the new innovations on the drawing board," said Kevin Strother, vice president of research and development. The company expects to add three new models to its current lineup of bows.

The company plans to quadruple its production facilities by early 2003. It will also move to vertically integrate key manufacturing processes by adding a dipping facility and a machining center.

BowTech, (www.bowtecharchery.com), the manufacturer and distributor of the world's fastest bows, was founded in 1999 by CEO and Chairman of the Board, John Strasheim, and by Vice President of Research and Development, Kevin Strother. BowTech continues to be the fastest growing bow company in history. The company holds patents on the world's fastest single, dual, and three cam bows, along with the patent-pending SandTrap, VibraBlock, and Vertical Force Technology. Each is a BowTech original.
