BowTech introduces a new edition to the VFT family
Creswell, OR – BowTech is rolling out a new bow whose name perfectly communicates its benefits. The Extreme VFT boasts extreme accuracy, extreme comfort, and extreme speed thanks to BowTech’s exclusive Vertical Force Technology.
VFT was first introduced on the Patriot in 2001, built with a 44-degree riser-to-limb angle to create a unique nearly horizontal limb design. Upon release, this more horizontal limb construction disperses energy vertically, in equal and opposite directions, with very little limb tip movement. Energy is transferred parallel to, and away from, the riser. The Extreme VFT has perfected this technology to generate amazing speeds and an even flatter flight path. The Extreme VFT removes uncertainty in the shot and reduces the overall error factor. The end result is zero recoil, zero hand shock, and greater accuracy.
“Typical bow engineering allows for energy transfer that is perpendicular to the riser. VFT is not typical bow engineering,” says Kevin Strother, the VP of Research and Development for BowTech. “By designing a bow that transfers the energy vertically, shock is virtually eliminated from limb to riser to grip, and the ultimate result is pure comfort.”
The Extreme VFT is a standout in the VFT family of bows, with outstanding IBO speeds (325 to 333 fps), an easy brace height (6-5/8”), draw weights of 50, 60, and 70 pounds and a 34” axle-to-axle distance, all packed into a feather light 3.75-pound frame.
The Sampson
BowTech is also introducing a version of the Extreme VFT on steroids: the Sampson. This bow is identical in every respect to the Extreme VFT, but with higher draw weights of 80, 90, and 100 pounds. Sampson shoots a much heavier arrow at the same speed, which results in more kinetic energy and substantial knockdown power. This muscle is all complemented by the unmistakable comfort of VFT.
BowTech, Inc. (www.bowtecharchery.com), the manufacturer and distributor of the world’s fastest bows, was founded in 1999 by CEO and Chairman of the Board, John Strasheim, and by Vice President of Research and Development, Kevin Strother. BowTech continues to be the fastest growing bow company in history. The company holds patents on the world’s fastest single, dual, and three cam bows, along with the patent-pending SandTrap Technology. Each is a BowTech original.
