Zenith Archery
Patriot release |
This is a total of 16 shoots selected for the year. Zenith Archery will start out the 2003 Pot O' Gold with a stake of $500 + $50 for the ASA shoot in Gainesville, which is already over, and increase the size of the pot by $50 after each shoot if the prize is not won. This could result in the Pot O' Gold being worth $1300 by the end of the season, if no one is claims it.
If the Pot is won during the 2003 season, a new Pot O' Gold will be started for the next tournament at a level of $50 and be increased by $50 after each shoot. The $500 stake will be put up by Zenith Archery only at the start of each archery season. Any money remaining in the Pot O' Gold after the final shoot, will be awarded to a Zenith release shooter, by drawing a name from the list of archers who competed for the Pot O' Gold during the 2003 season. A minimum of award of $100 will be guaranteed by Zenith Archery for the final drawing.
Eligible archers will include both Pros, Semi-Pros and open shooters and will be based on the following criteria:
Professional archers, both men and women, shooting in any of the Pro divisions of NFAA, IBO or ASA, or in the Semipro divisions of the IBO and ASA will be eligible, as long as there are a total of at least 20 archers posting complete scores in their division at the tournament being shot.
Open shooters and amateurs, both men and women, who are allowed to accept money prizes will be eligible as long as there are a total of at least 50 archers posting complete scores in their division at the tournament being shot.
In tournaments where pros and non-pros compete together in a championship division, the rule of 50 archers will apply. In tournaments that divide the open or amateur divisions into flights, archers in those divisions will be eligible as long as there are at least 50 archers posting complete scores in that division.
These minimum archer limits are set to assure that small divisions, with one dominant shooter, would not be able to dominate the contest.
The rules for entering the competition are as follows:
There will be no need to register for the Pot O' Gold at each tournament. To be eligible for the final drawing, compete in one of the selected tournaments, go to the Pot O' Gold page on the Zenith Archery web site
(www.zenitharchery.com), fill out the form you will find there with your name, phone number, tournament city and division you shot in and submit it. If you are not claiming the award, be sure that the "Contest entry" radio button is checked. If you are claiming the award be sure to click on the "Award Claim" radio button. Your first entry can be to enter for the drawing or to claim the award. You must also include the names and phone numbers of three archers who shot with you at the tournament and it is up to you to tell them that you are competing for the Pot O' Gold and show them your Zenith release. You will receive conformation that your entry has been received, by both an auto-reply e-mail and later, a reply returning a copy of your entry information. If you fail to receive these two replies, contact Zenith Archery with a direct e-mail to
joe@zenitharchery.com.
Please do not submit an entry unless you have shot a complete score, using a Zenith release, in one of the selected tournaments, in a division that had the required number of shooters. Also, do not enter your name more than once. Remember, it is up to you to be sure that you have done everything necessary to qualify for the drawing or to claim the Pot O' Gold. Zenith Archery will use this list of entries and the final results posted by the organizers of the selected tournaments to determine eligibility for the final drawing. If your entry is drawn and fails to be verified by Zenith Archery, you will not be notified and another entry will be drawn. Duplicate entries will be checked for at the time of the drawing and if the winner has entered more than once he or she will be disqualified. Anyone who does not have access to the Internet in order to enter, can mail their entries to:

If you are not clear on these rules, you can call Zenith Archery's toll free voice mail number at (877) 203-0968 and leave a message with your name, questions and a phone number where you can be reached. Zenith Archery will respond with the answers to your questions as soon as possible.
If you win your division, using a Zenith release, in one of the selected tournaments and you are claiming the Pot O' Gold, you must submit an entry form to Zenith Archery with the name of the tournament city, and the division for which you are claiming the Pot O' Gold. On this form you must also click on the "Award Claim" radio button, shown in red. This form must be submitted even if you have previously entered for the drawing. Once again, you must include the names and phone numbers of three archers who shot with you at the tournament and it is up to you to tell them that you are competing for the Pot O' Gold and show them your Zenith release. You will have
one week from the end of the tournament, in which to contact Zenith Archery by phone or e-mail. Claims made after that time will be not be allowed.
The release you use must be made from all Zenith parts. Hybrids, such as releases using a Zenith head on another manufacturer's handle will not be deemed eligible for the prize. Major modifications to the release will also not be allowed. Again, you should make the archers who will be verifying your potential winning claim aware of these rules.
The Pot O' Gold may only be won in individual competition and not in any form of team competition.
Winners of the Pot O' Gold will remain eligible to win again in 2003 but will not be eligible for the final drawing. All entries will be become void after the final drawing winner has been determined and you will be required to register again for the 2004 Pot O' Gold.
Tournament officials must declare you to be the official winner of your division after any shoot-offs or shoot down rounds have been completed.
In the event of multiple, eligible Pot O' Gold winners from different divisions at the same tournament, the winners will divide the prize money that was in the Pot O' Gold at the start of the tournament, into equal shares.
The special case of the Redding Trail Shoot and The Cabela's ASA Pro/AM in Roanoke both occurring on the weekend of May 2 - 4, will be handled under the multiple winner rule. If neither shoot produces a winner, the Pot O' Gold will be increased by $100 for the next shoot. If either or both shoots produce a winner, the Pot O' Gold for the next shoot, will be worth $50.
Zenith Archery reserves the right to end this promotion at any time, but once a new Pot O' Gold has started, it will be run until a winner is declared or the end of the season drawing has been held. The verification of all claims to prize money from the Pot O' Gold will be done by Zenith Archery. If a dispute exists, a mutually agreed upon judge will make the final decision and both parties will be bound by that judges decision.
Zenith Archery also reserves the right to add additional tournaments to the selected list at any time during the current archery season. The revised list will be updated on Zenith Archery's web site and by announcements on the various archery forums, so check the Pot O' Gold page frequently for updates.
Winners, if they wish, may submit a suitable archery photo of themselves to Zenith Archery, along with a full list of the equipment they used to win. Gathered profile information will be posted on the "Winners" page of the Zenith Archery web site. We at Zenith Archery hope that this promotion will become a permanent fixture on the archery circuit for years to come.
