Niff-T-Seat
For
many years I have hunted with a bucket. Those times are all over let me
tell you why
NIFF-T-SEAT.
April, 3, 2002 With the
bucket you put the gear in and carry with one hand, the bow or gun with the
other. No hands free. Cross a
stream, pull yourself up a hill, change hands walking or take things out of the
bucket to get things on the bottom. Does it work?
Surely! But NIFF-T-SEAT works one better or two or three or four. Why?
Let me explain.
This
unique seat is a folding seat that has four different leg extensions that you
can use separately or all together. It can be adjusted from 5", 11",
16" or 22" in a matter of seconds. Oh by the way it hangs on your
belt at less than 5 lbs.! Therefore you can put your gear in a backpack or
fanny pack and have one hand free. This neat little but comfortable seat also
comes with baked-on black legs and a choice of two colors, Mossy Oak Breakup
and Realtree Brown. Did I tell
you it is also self-standing?
The
sections that screw together go in swiftly and easily. Screwing in to each
other to the desired length that you want. Then included is a metal washer
that is about six inches in diameter. This metal disc goes on the bottom then
is installed with a small six-inch spike-like threaded rod that goes through
the disc and screws on to the bottom rod holding the disc in place. This disc
holds the base rods from sinking in the ground. I put the whole thing together
in two minutes! I am 230 lbs and it did not sink in to the ground. It also
swivels.
Swivels
360 degrees silently and without any noticeable creaks, moans or squeaks. When
you stand up it does not fall over either. This seat allowed me to turn right,
left, completely around, look in back of a tree or bush and not even worry
about it falling over or the ground having to be level. Incredible! Another
neat trick in soft marshy grass is to take a plastic bucket cover and put a
hole in the middle of it, install seat to the height desired and put the
bottom stud through the bucket top and in the ground. Again it stays up even
when you get up and will not sink.
All
the separate legs fit nicely in compartments in the bottom of the heavy cloth
seat. The disc and the stud insert into a built in pocket and walking with it
is completely noise free. No chains, no noise or things that dangle or bounce
around. The owner of the company, Roger Montgomery, had to convince me to try
it, I am glad he did. Sliced bread might taste better but you cannot sit on it
to hunt. This NIFF-T-Seat is going with me to outdoor events, hunting, fishing
and everything outdoors. Shooting from it was so easy it was incredible. Now I
am thinking of installing one in my living room.
Do
you want to know who uses it? How about Bill Jordan's Realtree Outdoors
cameramen? Also, many well known outdoor writers and hunters both big game and
waterfowl hunters. I did not know that. So if you want a nifty little all
purpose seat www.nifftseat.com.
You will not be sorry, I wasn’t.
