Zenith Hunter Release

The perfect hunting
shot
 |
| The new Zenith Archery Hunter
release features a spring-loaded head, which allows easy string
loading and eliminates moving-part noise. |
Would you ever take a
back-tension release to the hunting woods? For some of you that have played
around with a back-tension release, you are probably thinking that you
wouldn’t. Believe it or not, some shooters do hunt with this type of release
simply because it is the release they have shot all summer in competition and
they are deadly with it.
Most back-tension shooters,
however, do make the switch in late summer after the competition season is
over. And why wouldn’t they make the switch? A caliper style release is easier
to load and makes less noise right? That may have been true in the past; now it’s a matter of opinion. There is a new back-tension release on the
market that will be logging some hunting time.
Thanks to Zenith
Archery,
the times have changed a little with a new back-tension release that is hunter
friendly. The secret is all in the “Silent Stalker” head. No more worrying
about moving the release head into the correct position and metal parts banging
into one another the spring-loaded head does it all.
The
release doesn’t look any different than your normal back-tension release. The
only difference, as stated above, is the spring-loaded head. The spring tension
keeps the head back in firing (or loading) position at all times, making it
much easier to attach to the string at crucial times. The spring tension that
keeps the head back also makes the release noise free since there are no freely
moving parts.
Product
features
 | Aluminum construction, spring-loaded head remains cocked
once set. Hard anodized cam and dump can be quickly replaced with
hardened steel parts (optional) due to the new screw-in dowel pin.
This allows the release to be used for extended practice sessions. |
 | "Silent Stalker" head has a set screw
adjustment to allow any play between the cam and dump to be removed,
allowing for "rattle free" performance, which will not give
away your position. |
 | Release handle and wrist strap are camouflage patterned
and are large enough to be shot while wearing gloves. |
 | Parts and workmanship guaranteed for the life of the
release. |
I will be the first to
admit that a back-tension release is not for everyone, with respect to hunting.
Some hunters would never be able to fully trust the “surprise shot,” for which
they mainly known to produce. However, it is my opinion that no hunter should
be without one. Practicing with a back-tension release will teach you to be
patient with your shots and will rid you of any target panic that you may have.
This release will give you
the “perfect shot.” Once you get over the surprise-shot jitters and become
comfortable controlling the shot, you may find yourself taking it with you on
your next hunt I know I plan too.
The
Zenith Hunter back-tension release will show you a whole new world of accurate
shooting. Give one a try, I promise you will not be sorry that you did.
